Well done!

The next location

Walk back to the main road and head back towards the village centre.

At the Y-junction, you'll reach Piazzetta San Carlo, a small triangular square shaded by large trees, with the former Cappella di San Carlo and a charming fountain.

Your next challenge awaits there.

If you need help finding this location, you can view it on Google Maps.

Optional historical background

The history of Piazzetta San Carlo is closely connected to the Gotti-Lega family, one of Lajatico's most influential noble families for centuries. Their residence, Palazzo Gotti-Lega, stands just beyond this square and played an important role in the village's history.

Beside the palace stands the family's former private chapel, Cappella di San Carlo, the building you see here today. After falling into disrepair, it was carefully restored by the municipality in 2002 and now serves as a small cultural venue for exhibitions and community events.

Palazzo Gotti-Lega was also connected to the ancient castle by a tunnel carved into the local tuff rock. Although the passage is no longer accessible, it remains one of the most fascinating reminders of medieval Lajatico.

Quest 6 – Fountain

Giulia's Story...

After a walk, I almost always stop here for a drink of fresh water. On warm summer days, it's the perfect place to rest for a while beneath the shade of the large trees before continuing my walk.

I couldn't resist stopping here earlier today as well. Perhaps one of the missing notes is waiting to be discovered.

Let's see if we can find it together.
