Well done!

You looked beyond the surface.

The next location

Before you continue...

Have you found the beautiful alleyway from the photo yet? It's hidden just around the square and is one of Lajatico's most charming little corners.

Leave the square via Via F. Corridoni and keep to the right as you continue uphill.

After a short walk, you'll arrive at an even smaller square, where you'll be rewarded with a beautiful view over the rolling hills of Tuscany.

You'll also find Ristorante Il Tenditoio here. If you're looking for a special lunch or dinner, I can highly recommend it. The food is excellent, and the view over the Tuscan hills makes it a truly memorable place to dine.

Optional historical background

This small square offers one of the finest views over the countryside surrounding Lajatico.

For centuries, these rolling hills have been shaped by farming. Fields of wheat, vineyards and olive groves have long been the heart of the local economy, while the scattered farmhouses reflect a way of life that has changed little over generations.

Although agriculture has always been central to life here, the beauty and tranquillity of this landscape have inspired generations of artists, long before Lajatico became internationally known for music.

Giulia's Story...

Whenever I stand here, I lose track of time.

The rolling Tuscan hills change colour with every season, fresh green in spring, golden in summer and warm brown in autumn. Whenever I feel nervous before a performance, this view always helps me find my calm again.

I remember there was a gentle breeze here this morning. Perhaps the gentle breeze left one of the missing opening notes behind.

Can you spot it?
