The next location

Continue along the same road, away from the village centre. After about 90 metres, you'll reach the Teatro Comunale di Lajatico on your left.

If you need help finding this location, you can view it on Google Maps.

Optional historical background

The Teatro Comunale di Lajatico was built in 1870, just one year after the founding of the Società per l'Educazione del Popolo (Society for the Education of the People). The association promoted education and culture, which led to the construction of a theatre where regular performances could be held.

During the Second World War, the theatre closed and was temporarily used for military purposes. Between 1958 and 1960, it was renovated and reopened as a cinema.

In 1996, the municipality purchased the building and began a complete restoration. Since reopening in 2001, the theatre has once again become an important cultural centre, hosting plays, concerts, films and community events, continuing a tradition that spans more than 150 years.

Quest 8 – Teatro Comunale

Giulia's Story...

This is where my musical journey began. As a little girl, I came here to watch my very first concerts. Not long afterwards, I started playing the violin myself.

Back then, I could never have imagined that one day I would perform at the Teatro del Silenzio.

I paused here for a moment earlier today. Perhaps this is where we'll discover another missing note. We must be getting close now.
